stanbol enrichment can be extended to support additional customized types

Skill is actually in DBpedia
http://dbpedia.org/resource/Skill<http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Skill>

And so are many instances of skills:
- http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Critical_thinking
- http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Innovation_skill
- http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Leadership
etc.

If using DBpedia concepts as identifiers for skills is enough for you, you
can consider using the upcoming DBpedia Spotlight enhancement engine [3]
(under testing). I did a quick test for the skills section of my linkedin
profile [1] at the demo interface [2] and it worked fine.
