Hi All, Is there currently a way for XMPP to detect if two endpoints are on the same endpoint. We use Live Messenger (blerg... couldn't convert everyone to xmpp) at my new workplace. One thing I found is that when I sent a file to another person on the same LAN it was as fast as our LAN and not the internet: which suggests that Live Messenger automatically figured out that the two clients were on the same LAN and sent the file locally. This is rather interesting functionality that think would really be a good idea for XMPP.
Sorry I haven't been posting etc. lately, my new job is keeping me really busy!!! Regards, Jonathan Dickinson
