Currently, XEP-0080 defines the accuracy of GPS readings in minutes of arc (via the <error/> element). Joe Hildebrand and I talked about this recently and decided that it would be preferable to define accuracy in meters, as is done in IMPS (Wireless Village) and other protocols. Therefore we propose to deprecate the <error/> element and define a new <accuracy/> element.
