Exactly. IMO, automatic responses are one of the most useless 'features' in Jabber clients. This also goes for 'vacation' programs, by the way, but e-mail doesn't have presence functionality. As the author of the mentioned bot, I have had many requests to detect Pidgin's automatic responses on 'away'. I have always replied to just disable the 'feature'. -- Groetjes, ralphm
