XEP-0174: Serverless Messaging Proposed action: Approve version 1.3rc2? Changelog: Corrected TXT record format in conformance with draft-cheshire-dnsext-dns-sd; clarified a number of issues related to DNS-SD and Multicast DNS; as an optimization, recommended sending of disco#info data in stream features; removed reference to Encrypted Sessions specification from the security considerations. Discussion: Dave raised some questions about the TXT record data format. Peter to ping the DNS-SD authors, Dave and Ralph to do some testing of real-world deployments. 3. XEP-0084: User Avatar Proposed action: Approve version 1.1rc1? Changelog: For consistency with other PEP payload formats, changed stop semantics to use an empty element rather than a child element. All Council members voted +1 in the meeting, Peter to publish updated version. 4. Other business 4a. XEP-0012 and XEP-0085 Calls for experience ended 2008-10-31. Peter to send brief "report" messages to the standards@ list regarding the calls for experience. 4b. XEP-0220 and XEP-0224 Reminder that Last Calls end 2008-11-07. Peter to ping several people for feedback on XEP-0220 (Server Dialback), and to post to the standards@ list regarding feedback he received offlist. 4c. XSF Member involvement Somewhat lengthy discussion regarding ways to involve XSF members (and others) in the standardization process, for example by soliciting expert reviews or establishing review teams.
