I would have thought so, and I don't see the harm - in fact, I think
it's a reasonably good idea.
It depends on how far you want to go with it, really.
Options include:
1) An extended Disco feature of a URI to the room's logo.
2) An extended Disco feature of the room's logo (base64 encoded or
something).
3) Define a pubsub root node for rooms, and PEP-for-MUC (MEP, as has
been suggested). Then use XEP-0084 on rooms.
4) All of the above.
The advantage of something like MEP is that it's extremely versatile,
and would allow broadcasting of the general Mood of the room, for
instance, but the disadvantage is that it requires a relationship to
work, so you wouldn't see the logo in a Disco UI, for instance - that
would need 1 or 2.
