Yes, since it allows clients to specify the amount of time they have been "idle" allowing those on their roster to see their idleness without polling using a "last" query. > 2. I wouldn't say I have, since clients can opt to not do presence updates at all for "auto idle" or have it configurable, as we do in Pidgin, where you can choose idle reporting based on "mouse and keyboard", "last message sent" and "none", which turns off auto-away entirely > 5.
