I'm not saying that XEP-0154 is dead in the water, but I do think it
would be productive to have a discussion about perhaps using the
revamped vCard and vCard XML formats being produced by the IETF:

I plan to review those soon. It should be fairly straightforward to
write our own extensions once the core format is in XML (or work with
other interested parties to do so).
