Another way I can see XMPP becoming more IRC-like wrt MUC and SASL anonymous: IRC servers often do lookups on clients to check they're not running from an open proxy - I can see a situation in which servers will start trying to do sasl anonymous back to connecting servers to check that they don't allow them to s2s, (or to s2s without ip-encoded resources). /K
