Hi, I'm satisfied with current XEP, as it solves most demand and necessities. Client sending its IP to server without per requests is odd, as the XMPP server already have such information. (Which is not trusted anyway, though) The IQ request is nice and current I make use of it, for several other reasons like throttle, network profile etc...
I'm happy with the current one, if major servers have that. would already be a great first step. Regards, Thiago
