As you probably noticed, this morning we published version 1.3 of
XEP-0047 (In-Band Bytestreams), incorporating implementation feedback
from various client (and server!) developers. Next I'd like to work on
finalizing similar changes to XEP-0065 (SOCKS5 Bytestreams). Yesterday
in the jdev chatroom, I received feedback from someone who has updated
the XEP-0065 support in Psi to use the formats defined in version 1.8rc3:

http://logs.jabber.org/2011/2/28/jdev.html#2011-02-28T16:44:11.385637

Rion reported that the new 'dstaddr' attribute works fine for file
transfer through MUC rooms, so that's good news. Has anyone else tested
this feature?

The most up-to-date proposed spec versions and diffs are here:

http://xmpp.org/extensions/tmp/xep-0065-1.8.html

http://xmpp.org/extensions/diff/api/xep/0065/diff/1.7/vs/1.8rc3

I plan to review those soon, but more reviews would be appreciated
because I'm often too close to the specs to find problems.

Thanks!

Peter
