Based on what I know about constrained networks and devices (e.g., low power, low RAM, perhaps also intermittent connectivity or sleepy nodes), I can see the need for an alternative transport binding. So I think it is worth spending some time and effort on understanding the types of networks and devices we're designing for here. But personally I won't be able to do that until next week, or even the week after that.
