Mark,
You must have thought that I proposed another change than I really
did for issue 1.
The only change I proposed was
------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
In 4.6.3.2, change:
"Note: Excess backspaces MUST be ignored. Thus, text is backspaced
only to the beginning of the message, in situations where n is
larger than p."
to
"Note: Excess backspaces MUST be ignored by the receiving client.
Thus, text is backspaced only to the beginning of the message, in
situations where n is larger than p."
----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
On the first read, it sounded like you wanted to make changes to XEP-0308.
After some more thought, this appears to be an acceptable change since
no mention of 0308 is made, and this is true regardless of whether
0308 is applied or not.
This specific change is good and has nothing contentious related to it.
Good, thanks.
/Gunnar
Thanks
