Title: Message Processing Hints Abstract: This document defines a way to include hints to entities routing or receiving a message. URL: http://xmpp.org/extensions/inbox/message-processing-hints.html The XMPP Council will decide in the next two weeks whether to accept this proposal as an official XEP. I think this is a good startpoint for a needed XEP. A couple of things. First, its hints are purely negative; I think we should have positive versions of many, possibly all, hints. This implies that we need to have things like <storage xmlns='urn:xmpp:hints' hint='1'/> to indicate that the message is (positively) useful to store. (I'm suggesting we have a hint attribute giving positive or negative hinting, rather than elements prefixed with "no-"). Secondly, the XEP is curiously worded - there's at least one case of "In order to prevent […]" - hints cannot prevent, they can merely advise against (or advise that they're useless). Dave.
