So UI option to block the group would iterate through all members of the group and put a callback to when the group is updated (roster push), right?
using the blocking command to individually block them all.  Then Sam's
hairy situation of wanting to talk to a single user becomes easy, you
just unblock that user.  Also this *just works* across all clients.

I've yet to see an upside of privacy lists.
