Hi, As a Conversations user, I was surprised by it not supporting Last Message Correction in anonymous Multi-User Chatrooms. And indeed, it performs checks different to those recommended in the “Security Considerations” of XEP-0308. In particular, it requires real JIDs to match in MUCs, thus not supporting anonymous MUCs.
XEP-0308 recommends disallowing corrections to MUC messages received before the correction's sender joined. Therefore, the presence information of the sender has an effect on how the message correction should be processed. I am not sure how that interacts with XEP-0352, which suggests to only send the last presence of each contact. Admittedly, it mentions contacts and not MUC participants, but I think such a subtle corner case might warrant a note. Indeed, consider a server extending this suggestion to MUC participants' presence, and a participant leaving the MUC, then an usurper joining and issuing a correction to a previous message. If that happened while a client was marked inactive, wouldn't this client get only the latest presence of the usurper before the correction, leaving out the moment when the original participant left, thus defeating the recommendation of XEP-0308?
