Hehe, the reusing of Code is exactly the reason why i prefer Crystal Space
In my University Game Project i try to program the Fights from Ascandancy...

Crystal Space is in Version 0.98 stable now - they are near to 1.0
But i have to say its still big in the moment.

regards Mario

I looked at Crystal Space once. It was bloated and difficult back then. But
that was 4,5 years ago. So perhaps it's better now. And if you're already using
it you can re-use code which saves us all time!

I Would prefer the Crystal Space Engine because i'm currently working with this
engine on my game project at the university. It gives us 3D and 2D Support and
supports Sound, network and scripting.

Take a look www.crystalspace3d.org

I would like 3D. It is very important nowadays.
I wasn't there yesterday because some asshole parked his car in the side of
mine and my exhaust fell off. Naturally drove this guy off and nobody saw a
thing. So I needed to get my car fixed.

I have used Neoengine before in a project. It is very easy to use. It uses the
MPL license. (http://www.neoengine.org/)

Ogre3D seems to be a nice engine too. http://www.ogre3d.org/

Gert-Jan

hi

seems to have been some timing problems, i've only seen xavier and boris
yesterday.

anyway let's talk a bit by mail.

what do you think about switching to a 3d engine ?

I didn't consider that initially because i thought of a 2D game but if
we want some 3D models for ships for example... and we switched to GL
anyway so, what do you think ?

only question is which one. there seems to be quite an amount of GPLed
3D engines outside.

any hints ?

Fred
