Real backup software should work, but often if you manually copy, and even
sometimes with real backup software, various programs use tricks to prevent
copying via small invisible or damaged files that don't copy.

OTOH you might still have FWB drivers lingering on the hard drive. You
could try a format on a PC or with a different 3rd party formater.

BTW NEVER wipe a new system unless you have recovery software. Many times
there will be files that you can't practically replace, or even more
frustrating no longer have keys for.
