A good place to check would be Accelrate Your Mac's <http://forums.xlr8yourmac.com/drivedb/search.drivedb.lasso> drive compatibility database. Just check for your drives, without checking a specific machine. The other would be the software vendor's that market CD drivers for the Mac to see if one of their products will support one of your drives. Finally, you can try hacking Apple's CD-ROM driver <http://www.resexcellence.com/hack_html_99/12-21-98.shtml> and see if it works.
