With just a DVD drive you can effectively read data on a DVD-ROM, but not =

watch DVD movies, except if you have the correct hardware. Software DVD =

doesn't works, the G3/300 is not enought. I bought a Wired4DVD three years=
 =

ago with a SCSI DVD Drive and it works well to watch DVD. The quality of =

image is MUCH BETTER than with the Apple software on my PowerBook =

Titanium G4/550 .
For the kindly people who replied about their configuration and
experiences with DVDs on a SM (and any others this is true for) It sounds
like you have two video cards. Do you have dual monitors or do you switch
between video cards? I thought of this as my ixmicro did 2D a bit better
than my Rage Orion but that does 3D better and I need it for Virtual Game
Station so I just use it but I planned to have both but it is not easy to
get to the back of my SM and reconnect. Is there an easier way to select
between 2 (or more) video cards or if I got the latest ATI or particularly
the 4DVD card will it work well enough to be an "everything" card?
And for the DVD experienced, what model IDE/ATPI DVD will work as a
bootable disk under 9.1 on a SM? I have a Yamaha CDRW SCSI internal but it
is not bootable so I kept the original IDE. It would be nice to have a
faster bootable IDE CD that is also a DVD.
I am surprised that someone put a 32 MB ATI card in a SM, I thought my 16
MB Rage Orien was more than enough for a SM. Can you tell any performance
difference with the new ATI cards over the ixmicros, Rage Oriens or any 16
MB card?
