Yes, I often get freezes on startup and I have a Sonnet upgrade. I
sometimes have to restart 3 times. Even when it doesn't freeze up it
takes about 5 minutes to load.
I don't have a solution. I just put up with it.

Mine often freezes on start.
I have written zeros and reformated hfs+,
Sequentially installed 8.5 to 9.1,
reinstalled Sonnet software many times,
renamed the Sonnet Init until i ran out of names.
The best name change i have found is to put
"Z" as first letter of name but even then there will
be an eventual freez. And of course the Sonnet is
the last thing to load up.
