Hi, Sounds like you should have run Drive Setup on that blank Hard Drive. Copied that System Folder over (which sounds like a questionable procedure) and then Updated the driver afterwards using Drive Setup again. A CD "burned" as OS Standard (HFS) may not mount on a drive formatted "Mac OS Extended" or HFS+ About 9.1 which I use in this 9500: I could be wrong but a Max 3000 that I just gave to a friend is running slower than it should, it seems to me. I'm going to try OS 8.6 in it and I think it will speed up. . . given that it only has a 603e processor.
