My Max has nothing but large grey bars vertically on the screen. With or without the voodoo card, which I assumed to be the culprit. I was trying to flash a few cards I had acquired and after one reboot the screen came up like that and has not worked since. Even the standard video is the same.

Maybe pulling cards in and out of the slots has loosened a connection - either some other PCI card needs reseating, or the PCI riser itself is out of alignment where it slots into the motherboard. Once my 'Max wouldn't boot at all, and it turned out the PCI riser had gone bad. A new one off eBay fixed it.

You can remove the riser and try to boot without it.

Good luck,
Chris Adams.
