Walken Is In EPISODE II
Hey, all. "Moriarty" here. I'm not going to make this long or complicated or
fancy. I am on my way out the door to a screening of X-MEN, so all I have
time to do is say, yes, it's true... Christopher Walken has been confirmed
for STAR WARS, and the announcement should be up on the official site within
days. The coolest part is that he's got a character name now... and he is
Darth Bane. Seen it with my own two eyes. Pretty f'ing cool. Talk to you
soon.
Hey, everyone... just walked in from my second showing of X-MEN tonight, and
I'm starting to sort through the TalkBacks below. First question... when did
I supposedly say this casting news somehow involved a flashback? People are
complaining about things below (this means you, Lazarus) that no one ever
mentioned. Let me repeat, since that long complicated paragraph above seems
to have baffled some of you. Chris Walken. Darth Bane. Saw the page on the
official site with the soon to be released cast list. That's it. That's all
I said. No flashback... no idea who the character is. I don't read the
novels, so if this means something to some of you, that's cool. Just don't
start jumping to conclusions about how Bane will be used yet. Let's wait
until we actually start hearing a few story details before we start railing
against them. Sheesh.
First EPISODE II Pic Online
Hey, all. "Moriarty" here. It's been an interesting week of STAR WARS news
as casting has become official, spies have settled in, and things begin to
leak. Expect the floodgates to open in the next month or so, and not always
from sites like ours. It looks like Lucasfilm is being very proactive about
their use of the net this time around with The Official Site offering all
sorts of exclusive goodies to help hold us over as Lucas works.
For example, I've been getting mail all night long about this image, which I
thought was pretty interesting. Is that Hayden Christensen as a Jedi? Is
that Ewan McGregor? Hard to tell, but for a first image, this is a winner.
It's interesting, dynamic, and sure to inspire massive raging debates in
Talk Back. What more do you want?
A laugh, you say? Well, then, why not check out this image,then? Each
character has a photo to illustrate their appearances in previous films, and
this is the one for Bail Organa, who is, of course, being played by Jimmy
Smits the new film.
Anyway... thanks for the heads-up, everybody. And let's hope Lucasfilm
continues to be this playful with their site. It makes this whole process so
much more fun.
