Estou revendo minhas fontes !!! De fato chegou a ser lan�ado o nome
"Revenge"...

"George Lucas originally planned to call the third movie in the Star Wars
Trilogy Revenge of the Jedi. I have heard two reasons for his changing the
name to Return of the Jedi. The first is that he decided that revenge is not
a Jedi trait. I have heard that he read a student's thesis about it, and
that helped made up his mind. The second reason is that a new Star Trek
movie was coming out, tentatively called Revenge of Khan. The studios felt
that Star Wars : Revenge of the Jedi and Star Trek : Revenge of Khan would
cause confusion. (the Star Trek movie was later retitled Wrath of Khan.)
For whatever reason, or combination of reasons, George Lucas renamed the
movie Return of the Jedi. But before he did, some nice Revenge of the Jedi
collectibles came out. Here are two posters. The first one is for a
re-release of Star Wars, and advertises the upcoming movie, Revenge of the
Jedi. The second is a poster for Revenge of the Jedi. The text on the poster
was changed to Return of the Jedi and released again later."

Grande Fabr�cio,
acho que o nome "Revenge" era oficial sim, chegaram a distribuir cartazes
(aparecem se n�o me engano num dos livros da s�rie "The Art of Star Wars").
Na �poca, a revista americana Cinefantastique questionou o t�tulo, por achar
que "vingan�a" tem a ver com �dio e rancor, que levam ao lado negro, e
portanto n�o se encaixaria com Jedi...
Acho � que o Lucas s� depois se tocou da contradi��o no t�tulo.
