No bem assim...
[]s Londrinos Eric p.s.: Eu NO preenchi "Jedi" no formulrio... ----- Original Message ----- From: "The Jedi Master" <[EMAIL PROTECTED]> To: <[EMAIL PROTECTED]>; <[EMAIL PROTECTED]> Sent: Tuesday, October 09, 2001 11:09 PM Subject: [starwars] Jedaismo OFICIALIZADO religiao jedi! ja goi muito discutida aqui.... desta vez parece que e' oficial l'a no reino unido... hehehehehehe http://www.theforce.net/holonet/index.html#12583 THE OFFICIAL JEDI RELIGION The Register talks about the religion of the Jedi Knights, now officially recognized by the country: Jedi Knights have gained official recognition as a religion in the UK Census 2001. Coming very near the bottom of an official list of religions put out by the Statistics Office, Jedi Knight is known by the code 896. Heathen comes in at 897. Followed by Atheist at 898 and lastly None with 899. It's not exactly a ringing endorsement though since the 800s come after every other religion, no matter how obscure, and 700 is used for all "other religions". We reported in April about a worldwide attempt to get Jedi Knight accepted as a religion. It started out a daft idea but thanks to email and the Internet soon a whole army of budding Luke Skywalkers had joined in. We spoke to the Home Office - which was not overly entertained especially since the Census is supposed to be deadly serious. However the Home Office would not say what constituted a religion and we subsequently discovered that while you can be heavily fined for putting down false details on a census form, it does not apply to the religion question. Thanks to Gavin Hanly for finding it first! UPDATE Catherine tells us that Empire has a bit of an update: Today we were met with some equally jaded feedback from the government department responsible for sifting through the mountains of Census forms. 'The file in question is a coding frame,' explained a spokesperson. 'It's used to classify the answers we got to that particular question.' So will Jedi Knights make it on to some official documents when the census results are published? 'We don't have the power or the desire to recognise new religions,' she sighed. 'But if somebody wants to know how many people put Jedi Knight as their religion, once the Census is published, that might be possible.' ===== O#####||=========================> May the Force be with you... o#####||=========================> ==================================== Star Wars Mail List: http://starwarslist.virtualand.net/ ==================================== Para sair desta lista mande mensagem para: [EMAIL PROTECTED] sem nada no Subject e com o comando a seguir no corpo da msg: "unsubscribe starwars" (sem aspas) ====================================
