(corrected subject sorry) Hi,
While editing an .R file, every time I do a search for a string, it moves nicely to highlight the first occurrence in the file BUT ALSO, unwanted, expands the separate outline view to such a level of detail that I cannot see what function the string it found is in. I want to go next, next, next skipping over locations in methods that I am not interested in. But it keeps expanding the outline view. I cannot see the forest for the trees. My functions are very long.
Is there any way to suppress the unwanted automatic expansion in the outline view that occurs for every search hit? I want it to just highlight the name of the function in the outline view (which is the way I had it before doing the search and the way it behaves if I navigate manually around the file by scrolling and clicking), not expand the detail within the function in the outline view, shoving the function name out of visibility.
Thank you.
