Folks,

Please give the http://status.net/wiki/Subscribe_to_user proposal a
review. It outlines an updated process for subscribing to a user for
three cases:

* Existing users
* Remote users
* New users

Besides the UI, the most noteworthy addition to the above process is for
remote users.

Previously it was pointed out that the way remote subscription worked
wasn't easy or intuitive i.e., the profile URL being the integral part
of this task is not obvious to non-devs.

So, to make it easier, Evan suggested that we use an optional widget
where a central site sets a cookie for the user at the login or
registration time. When a remote user tries to subscribe to a user, we
can either pre-fill the profile URL or automatically submit for them.

Please either respond here, or use the wiki to document your analysis,
tests, or concerns.

Thanks!

-Sarven
