Last i checked, the installer didn't let you proceed without tidy
being available.
That should be an easy fix then to skip the check at install and just
whinge if you actually load one of the plugins that uses it...
Y'know actually looking at it, I'm not convinced tidy's even needed
here. It seems to be brought in just to normalize an HTML response page
for xml parsing with SimpleXML; DOMDocument can probably parse them as is.
