Just to be sure you are changing the examples in the config to yours right?

Thank for getting back.

Ok. I've downloaded and done a fresh install with

statusnet-mainline-0.9.x.tar.gz

my config is

addPlugin('ldapAuthentication', array(

    'provider_name'=>'Example',

    'authoritative'=>true,

    'autoregistration'=>false,

    'basedn'=>'ou=people,dc=company,dc=com',

    'host'=>array('ldap.company.com'),

    'password_changeable'=>false,

    'email_changeable'=>false,

    'attributes'=>array(

        'username'=>'uid',

        'nickname'=>'uid',

        'email'=>'mail',

        'fullname'=>'cn')

));

And still the same result. "Incorrect username or password."

I see that the statusnet server does not try to open an ldap connection.

I'm using openldap.
