OK, I'll be happy to do that. However, we have this feature on our 1.0
roadmap for StatusNet, with a target release date in June. I realize the
feature was up on our GSoC site, so it's perfectly reasonable for you to
make your application for it. That was an error on our part; we should
have been more careful screening the list of projects.
Also, I'm interested to hear your thoughts on the security concerns
you have. Maybe there is more to this than what I initially thought.
Would it be possible to maybe break the feature into smaller parts,
and I work on one part of it for GSoC?
Is there really not another project on that list that you're interested in?
