I'm hoping to use a StatusNet Instance for a website I'm writing, and

StatusNet supported PuSH on replies (and I assume, on conversations),

of the site, alternatively, we'd have to develop some OStatus
compliant code to do something similar.

Is there any reason why it's not possible to get PuSH on some more
sections of the site, such as on the replies and conversations, or is
it actually there, and I've just missed it?

Sounds like you want PuSH on feeds other than individual profile & groups' public feeds?

Just for general PuSH subscriptions, not anything involving OStatus subscriptions with Salmon notifications etc?

For at least some feeds like mentions, public inboxes, etc this isn't theoretically hard (we can push stuff to more feeds similarly to how we push things to Realtime feeds, based on the various inbox delivery models).

Conversation feeds don't actually exist currently, so there's nothing to subscribe to for them yet.
