Tiger (OS X 10.4) uses gcc 4.0. I believe the earlier versions used cc 3.x. So far I could not locate a language support library, everything seems to be crammed in libstdc++ (there is a libgcc_eh but does not seem to have all I need). I spent only an hour on it, so I am not ready yet to draw conclusions.
