Hello everybody,
As posted here last January, I think I
can help coordinate the translation of Stellarium front page. To me
the process explained by Matthew to obtain a new version of the page
is clear enough.
Since one goal is to have all languages
“synchronized” with the last version (currently English version is the only one
that keeps pace) and since translating is a voluntary task I would like to
start a discussion here about what to do when a language or more are
getting outdated (translators are not keeping pace)
1/ Keep last version?(current
situation)
2/ Since it is very unlikely that the
contents is completely changed from one version to the next one;
include new/changed parts in English? (hard to do if you know
nothing about a specific language)
3/ Use automatic translators? (what
about rights of use of the text obtained?)4/ To post the 'news' always in
English? This would allow more time to complete the translation of
the rest of the page.
Best regards,
Joan Salvat
