Hello to all. Some time ago Timothy Reaves added a Greek character keyboard to the Search window and showed the "go to position" controls that had been hidden after a previous text. The result didn't look very good and broke the way search results were selected (with the Tab key). As code-in-development it was OK, but someone (Alexander Wolf?) marked the "search-goto-redesign" blueprint as "implemented", despite the condition of the code and the fact that the original blueprint had raised some other issues. https://blueprints.launchpad.net/stellarium/+spec/search-go-to-redesign
I've tried to fix the most obvious problems: http://bazaar.launchpad.net/~stellarium/stellarium/trunk/revision/4888 I've split the two separate "go to" functions into different tabs and the Tab key can be used again to browse the search results. I've also moved some of the controls around for more clarity and consistency. (Note that the SIMBAD status label is visible now, so perhaps it's time to think of better status strings.) *I'd like a native speaker to review the strings, especially the window title.* I'm going to continue to work on this: - I'll try to "fold" the Greek keyboard in a separate widget that can be opened with a button. (good/bad idea?) - I'll add a label describing the other way of entering Greek letters. - I'll try to make the Greek letter name entry translatable. - I'll improve the SIMBAD status strings and make them translatable (if they are not). - I may add another pair of coordinate entry fields, for the JNow epoch.
