Hi Alex Have you fixed the non display of the starting splash in most windows versions yet. This has been a problem now for too long and needs to be looked at. Otherwise the windows program seems to be OK although I do occasionally get a font problem where specific letters do not display correctly. I still compile with Qt 4.8.2 on 7 different Windows platforms (XP,Win 7 and Vista) plus XP in vitual mode on two. This is done on five different computers. Because of the time to update and compile on different platforms I do them on a rotation basis so that every update is not compiled on every computer. I also compile in Ubuntu 12.04 on three platforms. I have not noted any of these problems in Linux. I only compile in stellarium in Windows 32 bit mode as I have not been able to find a 64 bit compiler. Barry

Binary packages for Linux (64-bit DEB/RPM) on request. I cannot build a package for Mac OS X because I don't have a modern Mac.
