This can be fixed by adding -mno-ms-bitfields to the CXX flags. At least it
allowed me to have the program runs with the stars on windows, using qt
5.1.1, with mingw 4.8 32 bit. I haven't committed yet because I am afraid
this might break the compilation with msvc that I haven't tried so far. Is
there a way to force "gcc styled" bit packing of structure for all
platform/compiler?
