How weird - we have one Caller ID phone and one Caller ID 'box'. The latter is
'ahead' of my plain generic 33.6 modem on the same line in series but STFax
picks up ID's no problem. In fact, with 4 phones and a modem in-line I am over
the 4 REN allowance without any problems. 8v))
STFax even told me an ID when the 'box' said "Unavailable"!!

This may well be the source of your problem
