I'm only refering to Adobe's documentation of the TIFF v6.00
(final revivion) - it was not ment as an offence, if you

AFAIK LZX, LHA both use the LZH (Lempel-Ziv-Huffman)
compression method, but I might be wrong.
LZW (Lempel-Ziv-Welch) compression e.g. is used by GIF files.

Erhmm. The file size of an image merely is dependant on two
factors, the resolution (pixels x,y) and the color depth
(2,4,8,16,24,... bit) -
(and of course the file format and it's compression method).
The CCITT-encoded TIFF fax pages (normal size 1727x2337x1)
are about 200 to 300 kB.
...snipp [how to use TIFF (CCITT) in Amiga)
I'd using this way 6 years now to convert ILBM<->TIFF

your self to find it out :-).
Maybe I'll give it try, but the problem of the Amiga programms
seems to be, either they don't support CCITT encoding
or they don't support multiple pages, and I need both
in combination.
Have a nice weekend.
Regards
NR
