Dear RKP, NEAT & ODIN are the two trading softawres , developed by Financial Technologies India Ltd (FT), which are approved by NSE for trader work station. NEAT ( NATIONAL EXCHANGE AUTOMATED TRADING) is old software which was provided by the member broker to its franchisee and sub brokerfor trader work station. This sofware has facility to enter trades very swiftly and easily, how ever it lacks the surveillience and monitoring of the exposure of the individual clients at the broker( adminstrator) end. The limit of the entire ID is set and monitoring at the client end is not possible but in ODIN the client limit could be set and monitored. Now a days ODIN is common and brokers too prefer to give ODIN to its franchisee & subbrokers. For both these softwares broker pays certain fee and charges to the company , FT which is either charged from sub broker or franchisee as the terms are set between them. In both cases you need to pay for the softwares, your broker might relax you some where as per your agreement set with you. The procedure of getting trading terminal is simple. If you want to open a franchisee or sub broker office you will have to enter an agreement with Broker, deposit fequisite fee for security ( usually for V-SAT, SEGMENT MARGIN ) ranging from 1,00,000 to 4,00,000. Broker will then provide you CD of the ODIN or NEAT ( as the case may be) and get it installed. You may run it through broad band or V-Sat ( as the case may be) and trade or make your clients trade.
