Safety in letters? After a mauling in 2008, hedge funds are seeking
sanctuary in exchange-traded funds. *Millennium Management*, *Pequot Capital
Management*, *Traxis Partners*, *Greenlight Capital*, H*ighfields Capital
Management* and other managers have listed ETFs tracking everything from
gold to broad market indexes among their largest holdings at year end.

Many ETFs are indeed inexpensive and liquid. But investors might wonder why
they are paying big fees to have somebody buy into off-the-shelf products
that simply track broad markets or sectors on their behalf. Whatever
happened to seeking alpha?

END PIECE - CRY PLEDGE
"Before anything else, I'm an Indian. And so is this little child. The
rights I enjoy as a citizen of this free country are hers too. She has a
right to be free. She has a right to be happy. But I'm going to fight for
her because she has the right to be a child. I'm going to fight for her
every single day, every single moment. With my skills. With my resources.
With my heart. I'm going to fight for her because I can. And she can't."
