[stone] coral

I have no hands on experience in stone sculpturing. I have been reading 
various books to get some basic understanding before seeking hands on 
instruction. While reading about the various types of stones, I noticed that 
Coral is not mentioned. I am from South Florida where there are no stone 
quarries. Can anyone advise me about Coral? 
Also are the any suppliers in South Florida of stone and carving tools?
