I am close to completing a piece of figurative sculpture carved in Portland stone. Some surface areas are rough with surface textures and tool marks. The more detailed surfaces have been sanded to a smooth finish with wet and dry. Is there a sealant or wax that would be suitable for a final finish and if so what techniques can be used to apply to the surface?
