TAREITANGA SCULPTURE SYMPOSIUM 2001

The Sculpture Symposium Trust is preparing for another
symposium from 11th January - 14 February 2001.

Unfortunately we are unable to offer either assistance
with travel costs or a stipend to visiting artists.
However we will provide assistance with accommodation, a
daily lunch, entertainment and material for sculpting.
Further details to follow.

The Tareitanga Sculpture Symposium takes place over four
weeks, through January and February every two years.
Three weeks of sculpting ending with a week long
exhibition.

Previous symposia have had power and air tools
available. For Tareitanga 2001 we are planning to have a
symposium where hand tools only will be used. No air or
power will be available at work sites. The following
materials will be offered for sculpting: marble,
limestone, andesite and wood.
