Hello, my name is Marcus. I'm a 25 yr old mason from Melbourne Australia trying to find places within Italy, Venice in particular, where I can go to learn about stone and how it is used by masons and designers alike. I am apply for a grant to go over there and study. To get this grant you have to identify a skills gap that you think exists within your craft or trade and write a piece about that gap, explaining the reasons why you think it exists and what the benefits would be to you and Australia if you were to go to Italy, learn by a better example and then bring back the knowledge you gained. It's not vital that I have places that i can recommend to the committee for me to go to, but if i did then it would no doubt make my application more attractive.
