I'm just shy! If I'm at a private view and I
know the artist is around I'm always careful
what I say about a piece of work. I know this
is a cowardly approach, but that's just my
nature. If I know the artist, that's
different, I can ramble on for ages asking,
discussing, exploring. What I think about a
piece doesn't change on the basis of my
relationship with the artist - whether or not
I tell the artist what I feel does.
