Hello all,
We, the Metro team, are considering contributing a Metro-based version
of the StockTrader application. If we did this we would most likely
start with the Java version that is already in the Stonehenge codebase
and adapt it to Metro.
Question:
- it seems the license will allow us to adapt it, right?
But of course :). We had already planned to modify the code to make sure
CXF can use the same Java bits .. it'll be great to have Metro impl too. I
think we need to make sure the POJOs are clean pure POJOs (maybe with
JAX-WS annotations only) and then have any extra technology specific
deployment info (axis2, cxf, metro etc.) separately. Some build magic can
build the right distribution artifacts.
- what do we need to do before starting to commit code?
Submit patches so that you can be voted in as a committer .. but IIRC
you're already an ASF commiter right? If so we can probably short-circuit
the process since this project is just getting started.
