Hmm..... that's an interesting question...... We do have a Hudson instance setup: http://hudson.zones.apache.org/hudson/ but we don't have any windows boxes in it. I'm not even sure if Apache has any windows boxes at all. Or even any windows licenses for that matter. > What are the best practices? > Should I use Maven or is a script good enough? > Is there a server available at Apache or should we start looking for > hardware? Any good apache links for these questions? The place to ask is: [email protected] or [email protected] Basically, mention that Stonehenge is looking for a Windows box (even a VM) that could be used for automated builds. A good way to "sell" it would be to ask if a Windows box could be added to the Hudson instance. Thus, other projects could do some level of Windows testing on it as well. That way, maybe some other folks could help push it through. That said, I'm pretty sure Windows isn't really regarded very fondly by the infra folks. I'm kind of curious what they'll say. :-) -- Daniel Kulp [email protected] http://www.dankulp.com/blog
