I did not receive any responses to this mail, so I am reviving this question again and asking for a vote. Please tell us if you are in support of hosting endpoints for different Stock Trader services within the Stonehenge project? If all are in favor, then I will start discussing the logistics and other details of enabling this with the IPMC. Looking at Scott's proposal to extend Stock Trader to use Claims-based authentication, I think a hosted server on Stonehenge could also be used to issue and authorize claims-tokens for Stock Trader, making it easier for devs to test the rest of the implementation. Please vote +1 - if you agree that we should try to get endpoints hosted +0 - if you mostly agree but have some reservations -0 - if you do not agree but will not object if the motion is approved by majority -1 - if you do not approve of this motion Thanks kamal -----Original Message----- From: Kamaljit Bath [mailto:[email protected]] Sent: Wednesday, June 10, 2009 3:40 PM To: [email protected] Subject: Hosting Stonehenge endpoints at Apache Hi all, I believe that this topic has come up earlier but I wanted to bring it up again now that M1 has been successfully released. Now that we have multiple implementations contributed and running, I think it will be great to have the endpoints of each of the services hosted and available thru some publicly accessible URLs. That will allow folks to download just one of the frontends and direct them to run against different services thru these endpoints. It will certainly enable easier testing and verifying of interoperability without having to download, install, and configure all of the components on various platforms. We will be willing to contribute all necessary Windows and .NET licenses and runtimes to host the .NET endpoints, if all feel that this is a good idea. We will have to discuss the configuration of all the endpoints, what DB to go to etc. Let me know if you think there is any merit in this and if yes, I will be happy to start a thread on the incubator mailing list to discuss how this can be accomplished. Thanks kamal
