Call for International Solidarity Delegations to Palestine! *************************************************************** While the US and NATO are waging a heinous war against what they call �Islamic terrorists� in Afghanistan, Israel is continuing its war against �Palestinian terrorists�. Israel, immediately taking advantage of the September 11 events in the US and the subsequent hysteria against Islamic people, prepared and carried out the sharpest attacks on the Palestinian people since the beginning of the new Intifada. Within a few days, dozens of people were killed and even more injured while the world�s eyes were turned to the US. The killing of the Israeli minister of tourism, the well-known far right wing racist Rehavam Ze�evi, on October 17, by the PFLP in response to the killing of their Secretary-General Abu Ali Mustafa in August, is being used as a further pretext by the Israeli army to continue the siege of several Palestinian cities as well as violence and harassment against the civil population. Israel is saying that time has come to definitely wipe out �terrorism�. What they actually mean is to definitely destroy the Palestinian peoples� resistance against the colonial and oppressive Israeli occupation. They are saying that their right of �security� is now more legitimate than ever. What they actually mean is to protect their wealth while the Palestinian population keeps on starving. They are saying that the �civilized� world has to defend itself against the attacks of �barbaric Islamism�. What they actually mean is to justify their terrorist military occupation through a primitive racist anti-Arab and anti-Islamic campaign. What they actually want is simply to destroy once and for all any possibility for the Palestinian people to achieve international recognition for the legitimacy of their liberation struggle. In this difficult situation the Palestinian people ask for our support. We must not leave them alone! It is our duty to oppose by any means the vicious and coward attacks that are being carried out by the Israeli state on both the military and the political level. It is of utmost importance and urgency to raise our voices in defence of our Palestinian sisters and brothers! Therefore, upon invitation by the Palestinian resistance movement the Anti-imperialist Camp calls for International Solidarity Delegations to be sent to Palestine in order to serve as human shields on the one hand and to break the blockade erected by the Western corporate media on the other. The scheduled dates are from December 29, 2001 to January 6, 2002. The draft programme includes visits to refugee camps and major cities in both the Westbank and Gaza, as well as meetings with political, human rights and social organisations representing the Palestinian popular resistance movement.
